Mmmm, your kitchen smells delicious! But keep in mind that frying, grilling or toasting foods is also a source of harmful air pollution. Luckily, good ventilation can help. If you have the chance, install a range hood that covers your front burners, has a hollow space underneath to collect fumes, is able to move 200 cubic feet of air per minute, and has a noise rating of 3 sone or less. Opening the windows while cooking also helps if you can’t find the right hood for your kitchen.
